About C.D. Muller - Fantasy Author

Serious woman with long blonde hair in a black blazer, standing against a blurred bookshelf background.

C.D. Muller, who also writes romance under the pen name Crystal Summers, has been creating worlds for as long as she can remember. Born on December 9th, 1990, in Rogers, Arkansas, she moved to Tucson, Arizona at four and a half years old. The daughter of Eric and Vicki, she grew up alongside her younger brother, Jonathan, and two younger sisters, Megan and Ashlee. From the age of five, she was already writing and illustrating her own books—stapled pages filled with dragons, heroes, and impossible worlds where good could triumph over darkness. Storytelling became more than just imagination; it became survival. After enduring twelve years of abuse and neglect in a home shadowed by addiction, she and her siblings were removed at the age of twelve. They first lived with their aunt and uncle, and eight months later were placed with their grandparents, Robert and Marianne. Throughout the upheaval and uncertainty, books, art, and writing became her anchor. In stories, she found stability. In drawing, she found quiet. In creating worlds, she found control when her own world felt fragile. Those early years shaped the emotional core of her writing—stories about resilience, chosen family, sacrifice, loyalty, and the fight to rise after everything has been stripped away. At fourteen, inspired by her love of Harry Potter, she began writing what would later become the Armageddon Trilogy. Dragons, destiny, and the tension between light and darkness filled her notebooks. What began as escapism slowly evolved into a calling. A graduate of Patagonia Union High School (2009), Muller later studied Computer Science and programming in college. Even immersed in logic and code, creativity remained central to her life. She wrote plays for the Tin Shed Theatre and created presentations for elementary students, always returning to the power of story to connect and inspire. The devastating loss of her husband further transformed her voice as a writer. Grief deepened her themes, sharpening her exploration of love, loss, strength, and rebirth. Writing and art once again became her way forward—not just coping, but rebuilding. Today, her novels, including the epic fantasy novels of the Armageddon Trilogy, are written for upper YA readers who crave epic adventure, fierce loyalty, slow-burn romance, and characters who must confront both monsters and themselves. Fans of Eragon, Harry Potter, Stephenie Meyer, Anne Rice, and Sarah J. Maas will find familiar magic in her richly imagined worlds. She now lives in Sahuarita, Arizona, with her girlfriend and two children, where she continues crafting stories filled with dragons, destiny, and the enduring power of hope.
